Hello everyone!! I am so excited to be part of this awesome blog hop celebrating the super fun new August release from Pretty Pink Posh. The release is now available, yay!!! We are also having a giveaway. There are 3 $25 gift certificates that are possible to win (one for each day of the hop, if you would like to start on day 1 please click here).
I started by coloring the images I would be using to create my cards. I used the little monsters from the new Monster Hugs stamp set, the cupcake, and presents from the Birthday Friends stamp set, and the birthday hat from the Party Friends stamp set. The little banner is from the 4th of July stamp set. After coloring all of the images, I added little wiggly eyes to each of the images and the little cupcakes.
Then I decorated the base panels for each of the cards. For the first card, I used Distress Oxide inks to add color to the background. I used Peacock Feathers, Seedless Preserves, Picked Raspberry, and Spiced Marmalade. I also used these colors for the second card base, along with the Layered Bokeh Stencils to add the polka dots to the background. For the polka dot card, I used the larger of the Scallop Circle Tag dies for the center of the card. The 'happy birthday' is from the Happy Birthday Script die. For the Distress ink-colored card, I used the Scallop Frames dies to frame the card.
For the third card, I also used the Scallop Frames dies to frame the card base, along with the Scallop Circle dies to create a central focal point for the little monsters. To create the striped background for this card, I used the thinnest strip from the Simple Strips die set.
I hope you enjoy the cards I created to share with you today. Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by. I pray you each have a wonderful and blessed day. Next on the hop is the lovely Lindsey Larsen.
