Happy Monday everyone !
It is the second week of the
Craft It Up & Link It Up
"Keeping Cool" Linky Party
Share with us all your
keeping cool crafty creations.
Think water, ice cream or anything you can think of.
I was super happy to have a bit of free time , my hubby was on vacation ( as you can imagine we were super busy all week) !
I did a water colored background shaker card
(that is a mouthful,lol) .
As I warned you I will be using the beautiful
CDD
Fancy Frames Dies a lot !!!!
I really can't help myself !
I began by getting my water colors and doing the
smooshing technique
( not sure if that is correct ,lol ) .
Basically , you get the colors you will be using ,
Basically , you get the colors you will be using ,
in my case I used Tim Holtz Distress Inks
in Squeezed Lemonade and Mustard Seed
and I rub a bit of the ink directly onto my craft mat ,
then I spray a bit of clean water over the inked areas .
Next, I place my water color paper over the
watery ink on my craft mat .
I repeat the process a couple more times ,
until I achieve the desired water colored background .
I do let the water color dry in between .
I also did the same technique for the beach waves ,
for the waves I used
Tim Holtz
Distress Inks in
Salty Ocean, Tumbled Glass,
and a small amount of
Peacock Feathers.
I used the CDDOutdoor Landscape dies
to die cut my waves .
This party sponsors are...
I hope you will join us and share your Keeping Cool projects !
Thank you so much for stopping by !
Wishing you a wonderful and Blessed day !
Hugs,
