One Layer Unicorn Card .......

Hello everyone! Mayra here from Mayras Designs with today's 

blog post. Today the theme is one layer card. 

I love this theme, I do not create many one layer cards but when I 

do I am always happy with that technique. 

For my card today, I used the brand new Sparkle stamp set. 

I began by cutting my card base from Strathmore Bristow 

cardstock. 

I stamped the image I would be using all over using Ranger Archival 

ink in the color Jet Black. I knew I wanted to use my Zig Clean Color

Real Brush watercolor markers to color these in. 

I started with the colors Lilac and Purple. I then used the Violet and Deep Violet. 

To add a bit of color to the white areas of the unicorns I added the colors

Light and Mid Gray. To fill in the background I used Blue. 

To add a bit of stars to the blue areas I stamped the unicorn image onto 

post-it paper, then cut them out to create a mask. I used white acrylic paint

to splatter my stars. 

I then stamped my sentiment and my one layer card was finished.

CDD Social Media Mood Board Challenge December 2017 ....

Happy Wednesday everyone!

I am so happy to be stopping by today...

I feel as if I haven't crafted in a while. 

It has been a bit busy for me and I have to be honest 

I feel as though my crafty mojo took a mini vacation, lol. 

I am happy to say that today (thank you GOD) I felt creative

and actually had ideas!!  YAY!!! 

For today I created this treat box as part of my Advent Calendar. 

I love the Winter Village Digital stamp set from Craftin Desert Divas. 

From the moment Tara showed us this set, I knew I would love creating

with it. 

I began by creating a scene onto my favor box die cut file. 

This box is from the online Silhouette store

design ID# 187420.

I cut out my scene and colored it in using Copic markers. 

For my colors, I was inspired by our current

 CDD Monthly Social Media Mood Board Challenge: 

I hope you will join us, create something and share with us on the CDD Gallery. 

I used my all time go to red combination R46, R27, R17, and R05. 

I added a bit of R89 and E18 to deepen the shadow areas. 

For the green areas, I used G99, G94, YG17, and YG03.

I then added my 'snow' using my Uni-Ball white pen. 

Here is how it looked once I finished coloring. 

I love how easy it was to create.

It is the first day of our 

Craftin Desert Divas 

December 2017 Release 

Sneak Peek !! 

Today we are sneak peeking a new stamp set called Hugs & Kisses, 

along with a new stencil Hearts Galore and a new die set Nested Hearts Dies. 

For my card today I used the Hugs & Kisses stamp set.

I kept the card simple. 

I wanted the Valentine troll to be the focus. 

I used Copic markers to color the images. 

Using my fave reds R46,27,17,05 and 02.

CDD November 2017 Release Sneak Peeks Day 4 ....

Hello and Happy Thursday everyone !! 

It is day 4 of our Craftin Desert Divas 

November 2017 Release Sneak Peeks . 

Today we are sneak peeking two stamp sets 

Skating By and Snow Happy . 

Super cute sets !! 

I created one card for each set to share with you today <3. 

For the first card I used the Skating By stamp set . 

I colored my little fox using Copic markers . 

I was going for a winter fox look (if that makes sense , lol ). 

I went for a red sky background to match the color of the scarf , hat and skates. 

 For the snowy area I used the Fall Border Dies . 

For the base I used my favorite set Fancy Frames . 

The next set we are sneak peeking is 

Snow Happy . 

 Super fun set ! I used Copics to color these in also . 

For the blue hair I used B60 , B21 , B24 and B28 . 

For the purply areas I used BV08, B66, 63 and 60. 

For the background I used my Distress Inks 

in the colors Dusty Concord and Salty Ocean .

CDD November 2017 Release Sneak Peek Day 3 ...

Hello and Happy Wednesday everyone !

with today's post . 

Today is Day 3 of our CDD 

November 2017 Release Sneak Peeks . 

We are sneak peeking the pretty Winter Fairies stamp set 

and the Snowflake Scribble Die . 

I used the Winter Fairies stamp set 

for my card today . 

I began by coloring my fairy . 

I used Copic markers to color her in . I used 

E04 to begin with and I loved the 

tone of the color . I decided to do a mauve / copper theme . 

Picking the E04 was the easiest ... lol now to figure 

out which other colors I would be using ... 

I then went for the RV95 , then a bit of R00 , R000 and R0000. 

The copper color was a lot easier to figure out .

I believe I used E97, 99 , 18 and 31 and a bit of E50. 

I wanted the fairy to be the main focus of the card so I 

kept the rest of the card fairly simple ( for me ,lol ). 

For the base of the card I used Fancy Frames dies . 

For the sentiment I die cut the Sending word from 

copper glitter cardstock . I stamped the sentiment from the 

Christmas Wishes stamp set  onto a strip of soft pink cardstock . 

I also die cut a poinsettia from the Winter Wonderland dies 

 in the same colors .

I started with the adorable little mouse from the
Harvest Wishes stamp set .

I then die cut the Trees Border from the 

Fall Borders Dies set . 

I used my Distress Inks to add color to the trees and the grassy area . 

For the trees I added a bit of Shabby Shutters , Rusty Hinge and Mustard Seed . 

I used Rusty Hinge , Carved Pumpkin and Mustard Seed for the sky .

CDD November Release Sneak Peek Day 2 ...

Hello everyone !! 

Yay , It is day 2 of our 

November 

2017 Craftin Desert Divas Release 

Sneak Peeks . 

Today we are sneak peeking the

 Holiday Sweater stamp set . 

I love the images in this set and believe 

me they are adorable . For my card I 

used the actual sweater image to create 

my card . 

I went with the traditional red and green 

for the color combo of this card . 

As I was coloring .. all kinds of different color 

combinations were coming to mind that I would love to color this image in 

( leaving it for a future cards , lol ). 

  

I used R46,27,17,05 and a bit of R02 for the red areas. 

For the greens it was super simple as it isn't a big area . 

I used YG67 , 17 and 13. 

To finish the card I used the Winter Wonderland Dies .

Background Sentiments with CDD ....

Hello and Happy Saturday everyone !! 

Mayra here today from Mayras Designs 

with today's blog post . 

The theme for today is sentiment background . 

I started by die cutting the stitched base 

using the Fancy Frames dies in gray , soft pink and black cardstock . 

I also die cut the largest scalloped edge in each color as well . 

I then stamped out the Christmas word from the 

Sending Sentiments stamp set using Versamark Ink along the center 

of the gray and soft pink card bases  .

I heat embossed them using Ranger Ink 

Embossing Powder in Platinum . 

For the black card I decided to stamp the 

Christmas word all over the base layer. 

I heat embossed this one using black embossing 

powder . 

For the sentiments , 

I used the Santa's Helpers 

stamp set . 

I also added poinsettias to each card using the 

Winter Wonderland Dies set .
