YAY!!! HSN Crafty Day with Derwent Inktense Color Pencils..........

Hello everyone!! Happy Wednesday!!

I am super excited to share the cards I have been working on recently. 

I was invited to design a couple of cards to be part of today's HSN crafty day!!! 

I am very thankful for this wonderful opportunity!!! 

For my cards, we were showcasing Derwent Inktense Colour Pencils.

I admit it was my first time using these pencils. 

It was interesting to see how they work. 

I love the fact that you can add multiple layers to get different intensity of color.

I used Avery Elle, Reverse Confetti, Concord & 9th, Mama Elephant, Hello Bluebird, 

WPlus9, Altenew, and Ellen Hutson for my cards.

Super Happy to Be Back....

Hello everyone!!!! 

I have missed you all so much! 

It feels amazing to be back in my craft room 

creating! I hope your New Year is off to an amazing 

start!!! I took a bit of a step back temporarily, and as sad 

and hard as it was for me to come to that decision I came to realize that I was not balancing 

my time out fairly. Most of my day was spent in my craft room aside from 

cooking and taking my boys to and from school. I still love crafting and I truly 

understand how fast time flies when you are doing something you love. But...I was not

doing a great job of family time. I am super happy to still 

have the love to create and I will be, but I will also be conscious of the time I am spending 

doing it. I hope you understand my absence and I look forward to sharing more 

creations with you. 

I am joining the 30 Day Coloring Challenge 

hosted by the wonderful Kathy from The Daily Marker.

I used the Mama Elephant Lunar Animals stamp set 

for my coloring. 

I began by coloring the little monkey images which I had stamped

all over to create my background. I used my Copic markers. I started 

with the E47, E57, E55, and E31. For the lighter areas, I used E21, E51,

and E50. 

For the bananas, I used Y38, Y35, and Y15.

I then decided to create cards with them. 

   I was going for a non-traditional Valentine theme.

The monkeys and the bananas go perfectly together!

I am stopping by today to share a 

card I created using the super fun 

new Monster Carnival stamp set 

from Craftin Desert Divas . 

 I began by stamping the image of the cotton candy stand all over a piece of cardstock ,

I colored in all of my images using Copic markers.

I then added Distress Ink to the background .

It is a birthday card for one of the sweetest 

IG friends I have been blessed to meet . 

 I used the Mama Elephant Timeless Tulips stamp set . 

 I used my Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers to color the image in . 

I hope the month of July is off to a good start !!

I am back with a second post for today <3 .

For the second post I am sharing two birthday cards 

I created for some of the sweetest IG 

crafty ladies I have been blessed to meet !! 

I used the adorable Lunar Animals 

and Little Edibles stamp sets 

from Mama Elephant . 

 For the first card I heat embossed the sentiment from the Mama Elephant Surprise Sentiments stamp set . The fonts in this set are beautiful !! 

 I used Bristol Smooth cardstock for my card base since I knew I would be doing a bit of watercoloring. I started by adding the Distress Oxide Inks in the colors Worn Lipstick , Cracked Pistachio and a bit ot Wilted Violet . 

 I heat dried it , then went over the middle area again with an actual watercolor in a minty tone . 

I heat dried that layer as well . 

 I then colored up the images and assembled my card . 

 For the second card I went with the same design , with the exception of heat embossing . 

Instead I stamped the sentiment using Ranger Archival Ink .

 I began with Distress Oxide Ink in Wilted Violet .

 I did the same process as the card above . 

 Here is a look of both cards side by side . 

These were quick and fun to create !!

I am stopping by to share a couple of cards

 I created and had not had a chance to share . 

First ... I am sharing a sneak peek of the sneak peek 

projects I created for the

upcoming CDD 

June 2017 Release . 

I can't wait to share the cards I created . 

These sets are super fun !! 

The sneak peeks begin on Sunday . 

The first card I will be sharing with you is a card 

I created for my youngest sister . 

She just graduated from college earning her Bachelor's Degree . 

We are super proud and happy for her. 

I used Mama Elephants Timeless Tulips stamp set . 

From the moment I saw this set... I knew it would be perfect !! 

 Her favorite flowers are tulips <3 . 

I went for red for these tulips since her school colors are red and yellow . 

I began by stamping my image using Memento Ink in the color 

I then colored my image in using Copics first . 

I then went over the image with my Prismacolor pencils . 

Quick and easy to create ! 

For the second card 

I am sharing , 

I used this adorable digi stamp

from Craftin Desert Divas . 

I also used the watermelon and apple images from the Market Stand stamp set . 

I colored the images using Copics .
